Moto Defy is really good. If you plan on getting one, there are two versions these days that are available: the original one that came out last year (which is what I have), and the Moto Defy+. The new Defy+ supposedly isn't yet flashable.

Performance-wise, it is decent. I can, for example, run the mobile version of Minecraft.

If you end up getting a used one, make sure the internal headset works. I remember reading that some Defys last year, mostly those distributed in Europe, had defective headsets.
